NOTE: Post No. 41 was organized in March of 1879, and was named for Wesley B. Knight of Londonderry, NH, who had served both in Co. C, 1st New Hampshire Infantry, and in Co. K, 4th NH Infantry. He was taken prisoner in May 1864, and died in Florence, S.C. that October. He is buried in Beaufort National Cemetery.

Wesley Knight is buried in Florence at the National cemetery not in Beaufort. I am one of his great great grandchildren.
