On Sunday, the 9th of June, 2019, the town of Richmond, New Hampshire held a dedication for its newly installed monument to honor their Civil War soldiers. The names of 79 men, and the regiments they belonged to, are inscribed on the plaque, with twenty-seven of them marked as having died during their service.
During the afternoon ceremony, the names of every man on the memorial was read, with the ringing of a bell following each one. The 6th NH Infantry, acting as honor guard for the event, closed the ceremony by firing several volleys.
